Remisses were a short-lived indie rock band in 2012 who met while re-taking driver's ed for the second (and, in Jay's case, third) time. None of them passed, but instead of taking the class again they formed a band. The sessions comprising this album were recorded with producer Stroker Ace. Gator McClusky was supposed to release them on his label, White Lightning Records, but Gator being Gator never launched label, and the songs just sat on his laptop. The laptop was eventually found by Reno Raines after Gator moved out of their shared apartment, and since Gator still owed back rent Reno kept the laptop. The band was surprised to know the tracks somehow survived, and while they're fine with the songs being released, they're still not getting back together. Some bands just need to stay in the past.
